New Italian language workshops starting
Below are the start dates and brief descriptions of our upcoming workshops. The status bar below each description simply indicates how full each class is so far so you'll know if there is still room for more students.
1/22/2011 - Comprehensive beginners Italian I (12 week workshop) - Class 1 (A new start) - Comprehensive beginners Italian I is 12 (1 ½ hour) workshops and includes: handouts, quizzes & vocabulary sheets. There will be homework every class. In addition there will be “optional vocabulary lists and exercises online that go along with each workshop for those who want to “kick it up a notch”. We have used the last beginner's class to set the pace for this one and believe we now have a realistic amount of work for those who already have a busy schedule. Therefore, our mission is to learn a little bit very well instead of covering too much and not really understanding it.
1/22/2011 - Comprehensive beginners Italian II (12 week workshop) - The journey continues - is a 12 (1 ½ hour) workshops and includes: handouts, quizzes & vocabulary sheets. If you are a complete beginner at Italian, it is recommended that you take the Comprehensive Beginners Italian I before taking this class as this will pick up where that one left off. There will be homework every class. In addition there will be “optional vocabulary lists and exercises online that go along with each workshop for those who want to “kick it up a notch”. We have used the Comprehensive beginners Italian I class to set the pace for this one and believe we have a realistic amount of work for those who already have a busy schedule. Therefore, our mission is to learn a little bit very well instead of covering too much and not really understanding it.
1/22/2011 - Semplicemente Cibo (Simply Food) (4 week workshop) - Semplicemente cibo or simply food is a short 4 week mini-workshop that will focus on food. This is a great workshop not only for building vocabulary but also to prepare you for reading Italian menus and give you a vocabulary useful for asking questions about ingredients.
1/24/2011 - Verb Drills I (12 week workshop) - is the first workshop we ever had as a group and is still my favorite because you get such great returns in the way of being able to say more when you are learning Italian. It focuses solely on learning verbs and how to conjugate them but just learning this took me to another level in my quest to learn Italian.
